Kautz College
To the brave and those who shout with joy... 2005–2013 is over, but still...
Abstract
I received an honourable invitation from the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Economics at Széchenyi István University to write a memoir about the Széchenyi István College in Győr, which was founded in 1997 by Zoltán Ferenczi and a few enthusiastic college students, and later renamed the Kautz Gyula College of Economics, and its daily life. This is an honorary but also challenging task, as it is almost impossible to write about an organization that defined the daily life of the first decade of my professional career from a longitudinal and holistic perspective which is almost impossible within such a framework (since, as I recall, each college yearbook presented a slice of everything in at least 100 pages), but I will make a cautious, yet somewhat chaotic, yet measured attempt, and if I make any mistakes, please forgive me. I will try to
adhere to the values and principles set out by the National College Movement in the College Charter and by the Kautz Gyula Economist College (Kautz Szakkoli for the sake of historical accuracy) in its Organizational and Operational Regulations (the famous SzMSz).
