Journal of Region, Economy and Society: Past – Present – Future
Abstract
The idea of founding the journal arose in 2012 on the initiative of Professor János Rechnitzer, then head of the Doctoral School of Regional and Economic Sciences, and Professor László Józsa, then dean of the Gyula Kautz Faculty of Economics. The aim was to provide a platform for faculty colleagues, doctoral school students, and domestic and international educators and researchers to share their scientific research results.
The founding editor-in-chief of the journal was Associate Professor Ferenc Somogyi until 2016, and then in 2017, Professor Tamás Dusek took over the leadership role. Since 2018, I have been the editor-in-chief and reader editor of the journal. Since 2018, Associate Professor Adrienn Dernóczy-Polyák has been assisting the journal as deputy editor-in-chief and also participates in the editorial process. John Paul Kowalchuk and Natasha Fiona Borbély-Bailey are responsible for the linguistic editing of the English-language studies. Since the fall of 2022, Katalin Istenes has been the secretary of the journal, Infoart Média has been responsible for layout, and Palatia Nyomda has been responsible for printing. Universitas-Győr Nonprofit Kft. is responsible for publishing the journal. The journal is published four times a year, with the last issue in English. Each issue is available in print and online (tge.sze.hu).
