Abstract
Dr. János Rechnitzer, economist, one of the founders of regional science in Hungary and its emergence in the Hungarian Academy of Sciences' scientific system, a leading figure in the field whose research began with regional input-output analysis and then expanded to include regional innovation research, the methodological foundations of regional planning, the evaluation of regional policy and its institutional system, and the analysis of regional capital and the creative economy.
